Student Analyst, Strategic Finance
Join Amuse to shape strategic finance, automate smarter ways of working, and help drive the future of music distribution.
About Amuse
Amuse is building the next generation of music distribution. We're a rapidly-scaling company with big ambitions in the music industry. In this role, you'll be working in a team in charge of processing flows for thousands of artists, informing decisions that guide the future of the company, and helping set the foundation that takes Amuse to the next level.
The role
We're looking for a Student Analyst to work directly with our CFO, helping unblock the team and execute the finance function's direction. As part of a lean team, you'll get exposure to the full range of strategic and operational work at a fast-growing company. From board materials to hands-on accounting, you’re always ready to roll up your sleeves. This role is for you if you're structured, high-agency, and enjoy turning complex problems into clear solutions.
What you can learn
How the modern music distribution and royalty business actually works: market dynamics, competitive landscape, and where the industry is heading.
How to build a modern and lean finance function, from the operational to the strategic parts.
How to take on real responsibility and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, working directly with senior leadership.
Your tasks
Be our execution wizard: spot the manual, slow, or error-prone processes in the finance function and automate or redesign them, so we work more efficiently and create real transparency for our stakeholders.
Support strategic initiatives across the business as they come up, including analysing data to inform decisions.
Support the preparation of financial reports for management and board reporting.
Support the dealmaking process, working closely with our labels and operational business.
Run competitive and market analyses to track how the music and audio-tech industry is evolving.
Support the accounting function with tasks around payments, both hands-on work and automation where possible.
Your profile
You're currently working on your master's degree, ideally in business, economics, finance, or a related field.
You've already gathered experience from previous work, ideally in strategic finance or corporate strategy (e.g. Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Venture Capital, or Corporate Development); high-growth startup experience counts too.
You're proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Claude, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills.
You've already built automations before and know how to use them to cut out manual work and reduce errors.
You are a strong team player and you bring energy and a positive attitude to a small, close-knit team.
You have an eye for detail and can present your findings in a clear, structured way, even when juggling multiple things in a fast-paced environment.
You're a clear communicator and able to build relationships quickly across all levels of the organization, including directly with the CEO and CFO.
You're self-motivated, high-integrity, and comfortable with real responsibility and an international, fast-moving environment.
You're fluent in English; Swedish is a nice-to-have, not a requirement.
Practical details:
Scope: Part-time, ~2 days/week (flexible scheduling around your studies), minimum 6 months.
Start date: ASAP
Team: Finance
Reports to: CFO
Location: Stockholm (flexible on-site days)
Eligibility: Applicants must possess valid, pre-existing authorization to work in Sweden.
If this opportunity resonates with you, we would be happy to hear from you. We review applications continuously and encourage you to apply even if you do not meet every single requirement. Your experience, mindset, and potential may be exactly what we are looking for.
